Communication.

Image
A few days ago, I had a Skype call with a friend I knew from the Internet. We didn't contact each other for some time so we caught up a bit with each others' lives. Talking to him like this would be impossible given the situation we had seven years ago when we first met. I knew most of my online friends from AuditionSEA and he was the first few friends I met there. I remembered he asked for my contacts, but I didn't give him anything except for my MSN. I refused to give him my phone number because even texting to Singapore is expensive. Ah, but now look where we are. Communication is so much better these days. With the Internet and the convenience of social apps, talking to anyone is easy even if they're at the other side of the world. This helps a lot in the online gaming world. Back then when I was still using dial-up Internet, I was allowed to use the computer for a few hours. I would go to my cousin's house to enjoy their Internet and chat with my frien...
I've turned so bitter and all I wanted to do is to hurt, all I wanted to is to blame. But what can I achieve from all of that? Nothing. Nothing but more grief, more regrets. Even if with all that, I'm still empty in the inside. Teach me one last time, how do you manage to handle everything skillfully like you always do. How did you suddenly decided that you'll stop falling. How did you change your views. How did you managed to say those words. I don't know what to feel. I guess that's progress. --- Stop. Run. Turn back. Don't come back. Now. Go. I'm not done at all. --- It's funny when you find yourself, looking from the outside. I'm standing here but all I want, is to be over there. Why did I let myself believe miracles could happen? 'Cause now I have to pretend that I don't really care. I thought you were my fairy tale, a dream when I'm not sleeping. A wish upon a star, that's coming true. - I...

Legend of Korra: Conclusion

Image
This is my reaction after finish Book Four from the Legend of Korra. I didn't complete the series when the last episode was aired, so I had to avoid spoilers and scrolled past many posts about the show. Finally, I got myself to continue the series. Major spoiler for those who haven't watch the show. My advice is don't watch it. For the fourth book, Korra had to recover after the fight with the Red Lotus and Kuvira wanted to take over the Earth empire and eventually the Republic City. All of that in just 13 episodes. Everything was so rushed and it was like wow, Korra finally got over her stubbornness and healed with the help of Toph and woah, time to defeat Kuvira and yay, they did it with the help of everyone (I don't know what's Team Avatar anymore) and everything ended so abruptly with Korra venturing to the spirit world with Asami. I just found out that it was confirmed, a romantic relationship between them. (WHAAAT?)   They ruined the series...

Comic Fiesta 2014

Image
I never thought the day that I'll go to Comic Fiesta (CF) again will arrive. After my first trip to CF in 2011, I wasn't left impressed by the anime convention. I mean, I'm not a fan of buying stuffs and I probably stood more than I should on that day in 2011. But I went to Anime Festival Asia in 2013 and the ticket I bought included the pass to the concert and the anime convention. I enjoyed looking stuffs there and yeap, I still did not buy anything there. I regretted though. (An iPhone case with redjuice's illustration and some random K product so I can take pictures with the awesomely handsome Kaname) I thought I could bring some of my university friends to CF since they never been there before. I wasn't really hyped or anything but if my friends really wanted to go, why not.   We took the LRT 'cause noob Joon isn't confident in driving to KLCC. I've been told that the queue to buy tickets in CF is long. I didn't want to...

Haunt.

She used to describe me as a person who is capable to move on quickly. No matter what shit is given to me I'll try to avoid, move on and get on my life. And that's true. When I decided I don't want something, someone in my life anymore, I'll use all sorts of ways, cut all ties to avoid and not see that particular thing in my life ever again. I have no desire to make contact or do anything with it anymore. All of the times when I make such decisions, I don't regret it. I don't miss the past. I'm fine living without it. It is like what she said, a breeze for me. A walk in the park. I have no problem to leave something out of my life. Forever. Yeah, it hurts time to time. But I guess humans are not that weak. We're tend to be okay after some time. People will tell you things are going to be okay, and you'll tell yourself you'll move on. Even it doesn't, even if you're alone, you'll at least go numb. 'Cause you're tired of...

Things I've Learned From University.

I sincerely apologize for neglecting my blog. I have no excuses for not updating my blog and I feel reaaaalllly bad. I shall not talk about this matter anymore and let's just jump straight to the topic, shall we? My first semester of my degree program is ending soon but I've probably spent a year and a half in university already. Studying in a university is definitely a different experience from primary and secondary schools. I've (kinda) adapted into my surroundings and yeah, I'm trying to spend my last studying years well. After spending (a short) one year and a half at university, I've learned and noticed about things that can happen in university. So here is just a list of what I went through in university. 1. You will meet all sorts of people. This is probably because universities has students from different states or even different countries. Compared to the students you have in primary/secondary school who technically live in the same area as you, univ...

Break.

Image
Hi people. I figured I should post something on my blog to show that I'm not dead and have not abandon my precious blog. I was busy. Yes, busy. I started my degree and I'm enjoying it. I no longer have to deal with handicrafts or hands-on stuff. Gone are the days when I have to use a precision knife and slice papers into tiny, tiny pieces, or mix glue and newspaper to create some random sculpture, or paint/draw till my hands are dirty. I miss using the easel to draw, though. So yeah, my assignments are more computer-based now but I'm not hating it at all. Sometimes when I'm doing my work, I feel stressed but I'm doing something I like, so it's really okay. I find myself to be more of a perfectionist in this semester. Probably because I know I suck in hands-on stuffs. Ahh, but yeah I had the issue of if I should buy a laptop or a desktop. Most lecturers are like: Yeah, you should get a laptop (preferably Mac). But I don't like laptops and I just can...
